Thanks for the wonderful emails this week. It's funny because dad sent me an email about not just working hard but working smart, and that has really been the center of our focus this week! Crazy! As we have been finding new investigators, I have been reviewing past baptisms and really thinking about how we can not just find new people to teach, but new people to teach that are actually going to make it to baptism. Of course there will always be rejections, but we are seeing miracles! We have two very progressing investigators scheduled for baptism in November, and one of them is a referral and the other is from a part member family. From what I have seen so far, going out and just walking all day long knocking on doors does not help an area progress! Missionary work is really not just about going going going until you are physically exhausted and can't move anymore. It takes so much planning and creative thinking! It takes a lot of working with members! It's so much fun actually haha!
There was a lady in the ward actually yesterday during ward council who was telling us how she is trying to do more to help with the ward reactivation, but she doesn't feel she can physically go visit these less actives all the time. But she sends text messages and makes phone calls! (even to our investigators who have told us they love it haha ). As members we need to do just what we can. It's not all about being physically capable. It's about putting forth effort to help Heavenly Father's children. Even if that means just calling someone on the phone! It's all about the LOOOVE that is shown :)
Yes, I experienced my first typhoon here. Typhoon Karen. It really hit in the middle of the nightand I slept right through it, we have our electric fans blasting so I couldn't hear anything haha. There wasn't really any damage or anything here in the city, so everything is fine. :)
Anyway, that's all for this week. I looove missionary work! I loove you! :)
