I can't believe it's already August! The months are flying too fast now!
It's only been a few days since my last email so I just want to share about a greatexperience we had :)
Anak and I made it a goal to meet and schedule appointments with as many members as possible before the end of the transfer. We decided that we would focus our appointment making with all the members we hadn't yet visited/ we were not really familiar with yet. The result: Almost every member we talked to said they were happy to let us come visit them because they had friends they wanted us to teach as well! We also got a service opportunity for this weekend helping a family clean their recently renovated house so yay for service!
The area presidency is making it a goal to really start having weekly baptisms here in the Philippines. We are trying to focus a lot of our finding efforts on referrals coming from members, part member families etc. Of course we are talking to and making appointments with as many street contacts as possible as well, but we are learning that those that are really going to progress are those that come from the members. So hooray for member missionary work!
One of our most progressing investigators "Dudes" dropped us this last week which is sad...plus now we don't have anyone who is going to be baptized any time soon...BUT we have a lot of potential and we are nourishing those who will be able to be baptized in the months to come :) I know Heavenly Father is helping us in every aspect of this work!
Mahal na mahal ko kayo lahat! Salamat sa lahat yung mga email ninyo...alam ko na kahit dito ako sa Pilipinas at kayo doon sa America na palagi kasama tayo sa puso natin :) Haha that was pretty cheesy but anyway I LOVE YOU! mmmwah!
Ps they told us we are allowed to wear slacks in our mission..I'm torn because I don't want to wear slacks but I also don't want to get Dengue fever ha. We will see :)
