Sickness and More Sickness

Magandang tanghali po family!
Don't worry I'm not sick. Everyone else is sick.
My companion sister Duque got a pretty bad intestinal infection from something she ate early on this week and then was hospitalized on Thursday. It's been so crazy. I feel so bad she's just been so sick. As far as work goes, I was able to go on exchanges Friday and Saturday/Sunday morning with my Kabahays sister Betham and Sister Mayo while we all took turns being at the hospital with Sister Duque. Then Sister Betham got the flu pratty bad as well, so pretty much this week has been a week of sickness haha. But I'm still good and healthy so yay! :)
Sister Duque is out of the hospital now, but still pretty weak so we have instructions from our new Mission president's wife (sister Koster) to take it easy until wednesdayafter Zone Conference.
Oh yeah today is the 4th of July! Yep here it's just another p-day. Maybe I'll go find something American at 7-eleven to celebrate haha :)
Rainy season is a lot of fun, but it makes working hard for us. It really just rains everyday for part of the day. Like it will be completely sunny and then 10 minutes laterpounding rain and floods and then it will be sunny again haha like that all day. There's this thing that everyone says when it rains, "oh masarap yung tulog ngayon" I guess kinda meaning "sleep would feel so great right now." So basically when it rains everyone here just takes a nap haha, which is hard because even people we have appointments with are always sleeping when we get there.
We had some sweet experiences while on exchanges this week. On our way home from the hospital one night Sister Betham and I were talking to the taxi driver. We come to find out that he had been baptized as a member about 30 years ago, but had left the church after he and his wife separated. His kids and wife are still active but he thinks that they are all brainwashed. We challenged him to pray and then kahit just open his BOM to see what Heavenly Father wanted him to do right now, because he wouldn't even listen to us as we tried to invite him to church. He asked us how many people we've converted so far on our missions and sister Betham's answer was "wala!" (none). She told him that of course we don't convert people, people are converted through the spirit, through Heavenly Father and through their own acts of faith. I don't know if he ever acted on the commitment we gave him, but I truly believe Heavenly Father is always putting these people in our way so we can meet them.
Pray for my companion please. She's recovering but she's still in a lot of pain.
Transfers are next week. I'll be emailing on Tuesday just to let you know :)
Love you! Have a good week! Talk to everyone about the Gospel!
